Martial arts, also traditionally known as fighting systems, are practices of training for unarmed and armed combat. People study martial arts for various reasons including fitness, self-cultivation (meditation), mental/character development, and self-defense.  City of Calgary Recreation offers a variety of martial arts for the whole family including Karate, Kick Boxing, Aikido, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Kung Fu.

Children
Classes are offered to children 5 years of age to 13 which emphasizes on having fun and teaches respect with an emphasis on self-discipline.  Instructed by a Black Belt leader.

Youth
Join us in a class which emphasizes fun and teaches respect, relaxation, self-confidence as well as physical and mental fitness.  Students who choose to practice Aikido will learn to harmonize with an attack and resolve conflict without injury to either party.

Adult
Classes are offered to adults which develop fitness, self-defense, confidence and self discipline.  Suitable for both men and women.  Classes help stimulate and balance your internal energy.  Regular practice helps increase fitness level while relieving stress, tension, and physical fatigue.
