Mr. Bernie Trahan, the Director of Fleet Services, provides policy direction and coordination of the various functions of the business unit and is responsible for liaison with City Council, the Executive Office, and Senior Administrations of other business units. The Director is responsible for the overall administration, business planning, policies and procedures. The Director reports to the General Manager of Capital Works and Asset Management.
The function of the Fleet Services Director is to provide competent, professional and efficient Fleet Services to meet the needs of their customers. Fleet Services consists of Fleet Maintenance, Fleet Safety and Training, Fabrication and Welding, Auto Body Shop, Customer Service, and Support Services.
The Services provided are economic fleet management, maintenance and fabrication services to other City business units and other public agencies.
Customers served
Fleet Services serves all City business units (except Police, Fire and Transit) and assists other public agencies when requested. The ultimate customers are the citizens of Calgary.
